With extremely good conditions, many spectators and good atmosphere, everything was set for a great competition. Andreas Stjernen and Johann André Forfang were on familiar grounds. The audience were thrilled by the two athletes. But unfortunately, neither of them ended on the podium. Stjernen ended up in fourth place.
Robert Johansson became the best Norwegian and ended up in third place. He jumped amazing and took the hill record. But then Kamil Stoch jumped and beat Johansson’s record. The new hill record in Granåsen now is 146 meters, held by Kamil Stoch. Last year’s winner, Austrian Stefan Kraft, got in second place.
It was dramatic in test round. The conditions were rather extreme. Markus Eisenbichler, from Germany, jumped 148,5 meters in the test round. They had to stop the test round after his jump.
