The Municipality of Oslo has decided that the annual FIS World Cup Nordic and RAW AIR in Holmenkollen will be closed for spectators, due to the risk caused by coronavirus.

– We fully understand the decision that has been made, and of course we are sorry for this. We have had a good dialogue with both the Municipality and The Norwegian Directorate of Health, says CEO of the organizing committee, Kristin Vestgren Saeteroy.

The Norwegian health authorities fear and increase in the spread of coronavirus when spectators are traveling with the metro to the event. The metro is the main means of transportation for the event.

FIS World Cup Nordic and RAW AIR will be televised as planned, and of course all the competitions will be carried out.

The Municipality of Oslo has decided the following:

  • The arena will be closed for spectators from Friday 6 March to Sunday 8 March
  • The spectators will not be granted entry to the area
  • The spectators are encouraged not to travel with the metro to the arena
  • Spectators are encouraged not to watch the event from the areas outside the main arena
